Zimbabwean student support platform FundoLinker has hit 600,000 registered users of its service, through which schools, companies, skilled people and donors are able to work together to provide career guidance, financial help, information and jobs.

On October 27th, 10 of Zimbabwe’s most promising seed-stage startups will compete to represent the country at the Regional and Global Seedstars Summits and to win up to USD 1 million in equity investments and other prizes.

Did you know that Fundolinker is propelling out its programme to primary, secondary schools, universities, colleges and companies as part of phase 2? FundoLinker is a student support platform through which schools, institutions, companies, skilled people and donors are able to work together to provide career guidance, financial help, information and jobs to students.

FundoLinker, the student-focused startup that tries to connect students with bigger companies in order to offer entrepreneurs with more opportunities, is entering their second phase. They are now seeking to partner with organisations since they already had a user base ready to receive.

FundoLinker is a dedicated education community which comprises schools, companies, students, parents, guardians and individual donors. Schools include colleges, normal schools, universities and driving schools. FundoLinker connects students to their education network for better education and employment opportunities.

“Personally I am inspired by our own Zimbabwean technoprenuers like Charles Chigoriwa of the FundoLinker application, Thomas Tinashe Kujoka who developed an electronic version of the Highway code. We need an initiative that provides students with an opportunity to learn about careers in technology and connect with mentors in the field for inspiration. Students also need to be exposed to hands-on computer and technology work- shops where we can be engaged in a oneon-one mentoring and career guidance sessions,” he said
